The National Symbol of Qatar

The oryx is a mammal which used to be in the wild. However, it was hunted often and made extinct.It was reintroduced in captivity into Qatar in the 1970s and is looked after in captivity. Now people can visit farms and places where they are kept, and they can see what has become a symbol of the country.
